Job summary

Park Plaza County Hall is seeking a Senior Assistant Engineer to oversee the building’s maintenance, support planned upkeep, and help create a memorable guest experience through well-maintained facilities.

You will perform routine checks, supervise contractors, and ensure thorough PPM cycles across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and decor work, while maintaining accurate records and delivering a professional guest-facing service.

Qualifications

• Experience as Shift Engineer or Assistant Engineer in a hotel or similar setting.
• PPM knowledge.
• Strong communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Positive attitude, ownership and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the overall maintenance of the building.
• Carry out routine spot checks of equipment.
• Promote a helpful and professional image to guests and other team members by responding with full and positive cooperation to requests received.
• Complete PPM rooms thoroughly, including decoration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, silicone replacement, bathroom repairs, lighting, ventilation, furniture repairs and final quality inspections.
• Supervise contractors and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Manage requests promptly, helpfully, politely and with a caring attitude.
