Job summary

Egis is delivering iconic UK projects, including the M25, and seeks a Senior Asset Engineer to manage structures and tunnels across the Dartford Crossing portfolio. You will guide asset strategies, inspections, and renewals to minimise whole-life costs while meeting contract objectives.

You will lead a small team, develop risk-based plans, and collaborate across asset teams to ensure compliant, cost-effective delivery within a major strategic road network in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structures, Tunnels or related subject.
• Working towards Professional Qualification (e.g., MICE/MIAM/MIStructE).
• Knowledge of highway bridge asset management and inspection/maintenance.
• Experience in risk identification and civil infrastructure management.
• Structures/Tunnel construction with renewal experience would help.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Asset Engineers focused on Structures and/or Dartford Crossing Infrastructure.
• Develop value-led technical decision-making for long-term asset management.
• Lead risk-based strategies for inspection, maintenance and renewal.
• Develop and implement asset management, maintenance and renewal plans for structures.
• Review inspection reports and identify essential maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with cross-teams to balance renewal and routine needs.
• Oversee bespoke management plans for strategic assets.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and contract service schedules.
