Job summary

Vickerstock are partnering with a leading engineering and manufacturing company to recruit a Senior Assembly Technician in Lisburn. This role involves mechanical and electrical assembly, testing high-quality machinery, and assisting with bespoke customer solutions.

You will join a skilled production team, interpret drawings, work with PLCs and control systems, and are expected to travel to customer sites occasionally for servicing and repairs. Competitive salary £35,000-£40,000.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in a mechanical and electrical assembly environment.
• Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with PLCs, control systems and general IT systems.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of machinery and standard product range.
• Assembly and wiring of electrical panels and pneumatic systems.
• Machine testing, final inspection and PAT testing.
• Support the build and testing of customised equipment alongside Design Engineers.
• Prepare machine kits and components for production.
