To lead on prevention and intervention to help residents sustain their tenancies. The team is based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team and works with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council's vision of keeping communities safe. The role focuses on intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, with referrals and signposting made quickly and accurately to support residents, especially vulnerable ones, ensuring tenants feel safe in their homes.
The role involves developing strong partnerships with agencies to assess and manage risk, employing interventions to mitigate risks and secure positive outcomes. Duties include addressing reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, supporting victims, attending meetings, delivering resident-focused responses, creating action plans, utilizing legislation, conducting interviews, serving legal notices, and representing the organization in court if necessary.
The officer will ensure effective communication with victims, families, and perpetrators, building respectful relationships, and providing clear reports based on evidence and analysis. All safeguarding matters will be handled promptly and effectively. The role also involves managing complex, high-risk cases involving vulnerable perpetrators of anti-social behaviour and abuse.
Key skills and requirements include: a full driving license and vehicle, and experience managing tenancy-related breaches in the public sector.
