Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the South East, selling a high‑end range of multi‑point locking systems for windows and doors. You will develop relationships with aluminium fabricators and other door types, managing a £1.5m‑£2m revenue base.

The role is field‑based with three to four days on the road and the rest home‑based, requiring a proactive, consultative hunter approach and strong negotiation skills. Growth plans created this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Window and door hardware field sales experience in the construction industry.
• Experience selling to window and door fabricators (aluminium preferred).
• Ability to hit the ground running and act as a new business hunter.
• Experience in doors, doorsets or door hardware field sales.
• GAI or FRID (fire door inspector qualification) may be advantageous.
• Comfortable with regulatory and legislation around internal timber fire door locking systems.
• Consultative approach; autonomous and strong at diary planning.

Responsibilities

• Field sales position selling high‑end manufactured range of multi‑point locking systems for windows and doors.
• Sell into and manage relationships with window and door aluminium fabricators, as well as composite, PVC, composite fire doors or timber fire doors.
• Inherit a customer base requiring development, responsible for £1.5m‑£2m revenue and efficient distribution network management.
• New business development role.
• Spend three or four days on the road, remaining time home‑based and administrative.
• Target sectors include composite and timber fire doors, the retail and trade sectors, new build and aluminium fabricators.
• This area has been created through growth.
