Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician in Manchester to join our established practice. The role focuses on delivering technical drawings and construction information for fast-paced, high-volume projects with a major retail client.

You will coordinate across consultants and teams, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and standards. The ideal candidate has strong Revit skills, proven UK project experience, and the ability to manage multiple live projects

Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit for producing detailed drawings and technical info.
• Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methods.
• Experience on retail or multi-site rollout projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings and construction information using Revit.
• Support delivery of projects across RIBA Stages 3-6.
• Work on retail developments for major supermarket clients.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and progress multiple live projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Attend client meetings and site visits as required.
• Ensure technical information complies with UK standards.

Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Manchester

Salary:£40-45,000

We are working with a well-established and highly respected architectural practice with offices across the UK, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join their Manchester team.

The practice has an impressive and varied portfolio spanning mixed-use, retail, healthcare and leisure developments, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and collaborative practice, taking on a key role in the delivery of fast-paced, high-volume projects while developing strong client-facing experience.

Daily Duties

• Producing detailed technical drawings and construction information using Revit
• Supporting the delivery of projects across RIBA Stages 3-6
• Working on retail developments for a major supermarket client
• Coordinating with consultants, contractors and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Managing and progressing multiple live projects within a busy and fast-paced environment
• Attending client meetings and site visits where required
• Ensuring technical information complies with UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards

Ideal Candidate

• An Intermediate to Senior level Architectural Technician or Technologist with strong UK project experience
• Highly proficient in Revit, with this being essential for the position
• Strong technical knowledge with experience producing detailed construction and technical informationPrevious experience within retail or multi-site rollout projects would be advantageous
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies
• Comfortable managing workloads across several projects simultaneously
• A confident, proactive and effective communicator who works well as part of a collaborative team
