Job summary

Architecture Social Limited is seeking a Senior Architect to lead a specialist housing team on large-scale residential developments in London and the UK, emphasising design excellence, sustainability and social value.

You will drive design and delivery of mixed-tenure schemes, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with planning, building regs and housing standards.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years post Part III experience in UK residential architecture.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale residential projects (100+ homes).
• Strong understanding of housing typologies, placemaking and masterplanning.
• Knowledge of UK building regulations, planning requirements and residential design standards.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex technical information.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mixed-tenure residential schemes across various scales.
• Produce coordinated architectural information and technical documentation in Revit to a high standard.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to develop integrated design solutions.
• Contribute to planning submissions, design reports, presentations and stakeholder engagement materials.
• Ensure proposals respond to housing policy, planning guidance, building regulations and design standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and stakeholders throughout all project stages.

A talented and collaborative Senior Architect is sought to take on a project leadership role within a specialist housing team. Working on large scale, mixed tenure residential developments across London and the UK, the role focuses on the design and delivery of high-quality housing at scale, with an emphasis on design excellence, sustainability, and social value.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex housing-led projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, clients, contractors, and local authorities to create well-designed, commercially viable residential communities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of mixed-tenure residential schemes across a variety of scales
• Produce coordinated architectural information and technical documentation in Revit to a high standard.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external consultants to develop integrated design solutions
• Contribute to planning submissions, design reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement materials
• Ensure project proposals respond accurately to housing policy, planning guidance, building regulations, and residential design standards
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders throughout all project stages
