Job summary

Hunter Dunning Limited in Holborn, London, is seeking an Associate Architect / Associate Director to lead architectural projects from technical development through to completion. You will manage teams, coordinate multidisciplinary work, and maintain client relationships for successful delivery.

This permanent senior leadership role offers 70,000–90,000 DOE with a January 2027 start preferred and flexibility for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Significant architectural practice experience at Associate level or senior position.
• Strong architectural background with ARB registration (preferred).
• Proven technical design and construction-stage delivery on completed projects.
• Sound knowledge of UK building regulations, detailing, methods and coordination.
• Experience leading architectural teams and managing complex programmes.
• Strong communication, leadership and commercial awareness, including client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects through technical design, construction and successful completion.
• Oversee technical drawings, specifications, construction information and buildability.
• Coordinate clients, consultants and contractors, resolving challenges.
• Manage programmes, resources, budgets, fee expenditure and commercial risks.
• Lead and mentor architectural teams, overseeing workloads and quality.
• Maintain client relationships and support fee proposals and bids.
