Job summary

Qualifications

Senior Architect - Residential, Birmingham, £40k - £50k DOE

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Architect to join a well-established, award-winning architectural practice in Birmingham. The practice is looking to strengthen its residential team with a talented and technically capable Architect who has experience delivering residential developments and is confident taking responsibility for projects from the early design stages through to completion.

Working on a varied portfolio of projects including build-to-rent, affordable housing, mixed-use developments, later living and regeneration schemes, this is a great opportunity for an Architect looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will play a key role in the design and delivery of residential projects, taking responsibility for managing schemes, coordinating consultants and overseeing technical delivery.

The Role:

• Leading residential projects across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion.
• Producing and overseeing detailed technical information using Revit.
• Managing project programmes, coordinating consultants and ensuring successful project delivery.
• Working on residential developments, refurbishments and regeneration schemes.
• Ensuring projects comply with current Building Regulations and relevant legislation.
• Supporting projects involving the Building Safety Act, Higher-Risk Buildings and Gateway submissions.
• Managing client relationships and liaising with contractors and external consultants.
• Providing guidance and support to junior members of the team.

Requirements:

• ARB registered Architect with approximately 5-10 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in residential architecture, with experience delivering medium to large-scale developments.
• Excellent technical knowledge and experience across all RIBA stages.
• Proficient in Revit, with experience producing and coordinating detailed technical packages.
• Good understanding of current Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
• Experience working on Higher-Risk Buildings and Gateway submissions would be highly beneficial.
• Confident managing projects, coordinating consultants and leading architectural teams.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
