Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Architect for a Devon-based architectural practice. You will lead projects across all RIBA stages, delivering bespoke residential adaptations with a focus on accessible design and quality execution.

The role requires ARB registration with extensive post-Part 3 experience, strong technical detailing, and the ability to manage client relationships while working in a collaborative, agile environment from the Devon office.

Qualifications

• ARB-registered Architect with extensive post-Part 3 experience.
• Experience delivering projects through all RIBA stages.
• Excellent technical knowledge and detailing ability.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects and manage client relationships.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Happy to work from the Devon office five days a week within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects across all RIBA stages.
• Develop creative design solutions and detailed technical packages.
• Prepare planning and Building Regulations submissions.
• Coordinate consultants and external stakeholders.
• Attend client meetings and site visits.
• Oversee projects through construction.
• Support junior team members and contribute to practice development.
• Ensure projects meet programme, quality and budget requirements.
