Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Architect for a multidisciplined consultancy in Colchester. The role focuses on residential and commercial projects, from inception to completion, with a need to manage client and contractor liaison and deliver robust drawing packages.

The successful candidate will be ARB registered, with post-Part 3 experience in the UK, and able to lead design teams while working independently or within a team. Salary £50,000–£65,000, permanent role.

Qualifications

• ARB registered with UK practice experience.
• Significant post RIBA Part 3 qualification experience.
• Experience delivering residential and commercial projects.
• Experience managing and delivering across all RIBA work stages.
• Proficient with AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Live within commutable distance to Colchester.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver on residential and commercial projects from inception through to completion
• Prepare quotations and tender submissions
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other external team members
• Produce detailed drawing packages, specifications and construction documentation
• Carry out site visits and surveys to ensure technical compliance is achieved

Duties for the role of Senior Architect:

• Lead and deliver on residential and commercial projects from inception through to completion

Skills and experience for the role of Senior Architect:
