Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Appointee and Deputyship Team as a Senior Appointee Officer. In this rewarding leadership role, you will manage and develop a team of Appointee Officers who support some of Nottinghamshire's most vulnerable residents by managing their finances, safeguarding them from financial abuse, and helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

As Senior Appointee Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring adults who lack the mental capacity to manage their own financial affairs receive the support, protection, and advocacy they need. You will provide leadership, professional oversight, and case direction to your team, supporting them to deliver high-quality services while promoting best practice, continuous improvement, and positive outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of Appointee Officers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Safeguard and Support: Ensure vulnerable adults receive the financial management and protection they need.
• Drive Improvement: Promote best practices and continuous service improvement within the team.
• Collaborate and Communicate: Build strong partnerships with other agencies and stakeholders to enhance service delivery. Monitor and Report: Oversee casework and provide regular updates on team performance and service quality.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Educational Background: A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Professional Knowledge: In-depth understanding of adult social care legislation, financial management, and safeguarding practices.
• Experience: Minimum of two years in a similar role, demonstrating a track record of effective team management and service delivery.
