Job summary

Deerfoot Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Senior Applied AI Engineer on a contract basis in Oxfordshire, hybrid 2 days on site. You will architect and build multi-agent AI systems, embedding LLMs and vision-language models, with ownership of production pipelines and guardrails.

You should have robust Python skills, experience deploying AI/ML in production, and familiarity with LangGraph/ LangChain/ Haystack, Docker, Git, and cloud infrastructure (AWS).

Qualifications

• Robust software engineering with senior/lead level experience.
• Strong Python and production AI systems experience.
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems in live production.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain or Haystack and related tooling.
• Knowledge of secure deployment approaches (on-premises / cloud).
• Ability to design end-to-end multi-agent AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build multi-agent AI systems end-to-end, using frameworks where valuable and bespoke orchestration when needed.
• Write production-grade code with reliability and low latency.
• Embed LLMs and vision-language models into live reasoning and task-execution workflows.
• Deploy across cloud and on‑prem environments with appropriate security constraints.
• Own end-to-end production pipelines from data ingestion to live inference.
• Develop monitoring, evaluation and guardrail tooling to assess system performance.
