Job summary

Deerfoot IT Resources Limited is helping our UK client recruit a Senior Applied AI Engineer for a hybrid role in Oxfordshire. The contract, outside IR35, is initially 6 months with a strong extension likelihood and a day rate of 900 GBP DOE.

You will own agentic AI systems, architecting end-to-end multi-agent architectures, embedding LLMs, and delivering robust production systems with scalable data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and shipping multi-agent or agentic AI systems in production.
• Strong Python skills with production-grade expectations.
• Proven track record deploying AI systems in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Architecting and building multi-agent AI systems end-to-end with orchestration and tool-calling.
• Writing robust, low-latency production code with failure handling built-in.
• Embedding LLMs and vision-language models into live workflows with retrieval and guardrails.
• Deploying across cloud and on-prem environments with security constraints.
• Owning production pipelines from data ingestion to live inference.
• Building monitoring and guardrail tooling to measure system performance.
• Setting technical standards and documenting patterns for the team.
