ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a highly collaborative, agile team responsible for development and maintenance of a number of Primary Markets applications in LSEG Capital Markets division.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

1. Join our Primary Markets Application Services team within the Capital Markets Division as a Lead DevOps Engineer.
2. Maintain systems running on AWS ensuring their availability and resiliency through DevOps standard methodologies.
3. Work in a development pod/team and help maintain DevOps culture through the application of the DevOps pillars.
4. Own DevOps for your pod, including CI/CD, deployment automation, security, systems design for resilience/scalability, operational automation, and monitoring.
5. Provide Level 2 systems support.
6. Advise on the work of a small team of DevOps Engineers.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Proven experience in AWS, Azure and/or other Cloud Computing platforms.
• Understanding of git concepts, CI/CD, release strategy, branching strategy, and development/release pipelines.
• Experience with scripting languages e.g., Bash, Ruby, and/or Python.
• Experience with Unix and Windows environments.
• Ability to work with teams to assist and guide them on deployment practices and automate deployments.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and written.
• Ability to handle own work and multitask to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Experience mentoring junior DevOps team members.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with modern tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, DataDog, Jenkins/Cloudbees, GitLab, ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of source and version control tools like GIT, Bitbucket, Nexus, Artifactory.
• Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis.
• Networking issue diagnostic experience.
• AWS Developer/Sysops/DevOps accreditation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
