Tripadvisor Experiences in London is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to lead security across our platforms. The role focuses on designing and implementing advanced security controls, mentoring junior engineers, and shaping security practices across teams.

You will collaborate with product and engineering to embed security into the software development lifecycle, stay ahead of threats, and advocate for prioritising security initiatives in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in application security, including secure coding practices and threat modelling.
• Hands-on with SAST/DAST and integrating security tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of encryption, identity management and API security.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and securing microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of advanced application security measures (encryption, APIs, identity management).
• Perform threat modelling and risk assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Conduct manual security assessments including code reviews.
• Serve as SME on security breaches, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce application security policies across teams for consistency and scalability.
• Mentor engineers to improve security knowledge and practices.
• Provide security architecture guidance for new features and systems.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to integrate security in SDLC.
• Champion security initiatives and manage tech debt in security domain.
