Tripadvisor Experiences in London is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to lead security across our platform. You will design and implement advanced security measures, mentor junior engineers, and shape security practices across products and infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on expertise in threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, secure coding, SAST/DAST, and cloud security, with a track record of guiding teams and collaborating with product and engineering to embed

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in application security, including threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• Hands-on experience with security testing tools (SAST, DAST) and their integration into development pipelines.
• Strong understanding of encryption, secure software design, identity management, and API security.
• Experience with cloud security and securing microservices architectures.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and influence security practices across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced application security measures across the platform.
• Conduct in-depth threat modelling and risk assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Perform manual security assessments including code reviews.
• Act as SME for security breaches, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce application security policies across engineering teams.
• Mentor and train junior engineers on security practices.
• Provide expert advice on security architecture and design for new features.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed security into the SDLC.
• Champion security initiatives and stay updated on threats and best practices.
