Job summary

Peninsula Business Services in Manchester is seeking a senior application engineer to modernise our finance and HR systems. You will take technical responsibility for operation and upgrades across Dimensions v2, FocalPoint, and related tools, while coordinating with in-house teams and outside suppliers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience building solutions, data pipelines and integrations on the Microsoft stack.
• Proven track record working with finance professionals, systems, processes and data.
• Experience liaising with senior stakeholders in international corporate businesses.
• Ability to lead, troubleshoot, and manage technical debt in future system design.

Responsibilities

• Own operation and modernization of finance and HR systems.
• Collaborate with Data Team, Development Team and external vendors globally.
• Support Finance and ICT stakeholders, including senior leaders.
• Act as technical liaison with third-party vendors.
• Own the application environment (Dimensions v2, FocalPoint, Orbis Task Centre, Access Document Management, People XD, Access aCloud).
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Data teams to manage servers and databases.
• Work with in-house teams to upgrade and troubleshoot integrated applications and data flows.
• Identify solutions, define requirements, and select vendors for modernization.
