Leonardo UK Ltd in Luton seeks an EM engineer to design antenna systems for defence platforms, using CST Microwave Studio or FEKO to analyse sensor placement on stealth vehicles. You will develop hardware interfaces and support measurements from concept to testing.

The role offers hybrid working, opportunities to become a technical specialist or lead a small team, and exposure to EM, mechanical, and materials science. BPSS screening applies and salary is banded within Leonardo’s framework.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in a STEM subject (Physics, Mathematics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, or other science-based subject).
• Experience / Education in at least one of: LO/Stealth/RF design/Antenna design or modelling/measurement/EM Modelling.
• Excellent numerical problem solving skills and an aptitude for lateral thinking.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex topics to teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop existing product and advanced research for new and existing platforms.
• Use CST FEKO to analyse and optimise sensor on a stealth vehicle.
• Design and development of antenna/radome and related interfaces.
• Technical assessment and modelling to ensure system performance.
• Present results through reports and oral presentations.
• Provide technical guidance and promote best practices.
