Job summary

Just Won’t Die Games Studio in Cambridge seeks a senior animator to lead AAA-standard animations for a new sci‑fi/fantasy IP on PC and consoles. You will own the animation pipeline from brief to Unreal Engine integration, collaborating with the Art Director and senior artists to shape motion and tone.

We value a strong showreel, industry experience, self-motivation and the ability to communicate ideas clearly. The role supports remote work with a studio base in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Professional games experience as an animator with a track record of high-quality keyframed animations.
• Animation showreel demonstrating understanding of animation principles and diverse movement (bipedal and creature).
• Proactive in seeking feedback and coordinating with other teams to drive animation tasks forward.
• Rigging and skinning in Maya with automated tools.
• Identify animation issues at concept/3D stage and provide actionable feedback.
• Rapidly develop and iterate on animation ideas, accommodating feedback from Directors and teams.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and visual.

Responsibilities

• Produce AAA standard animations in line with the project's art direction.
• Take ownership of the animation pipeline from brief to Unreal Engine implementation.
• Work closely with the Art Director and other artists to shape the game visuals.
• Produce highly creative ideas to aid game development.
• Work on diverse assets including humans, creatures, weapons and more.
