Job summary

CI Games Group is seeking a Senior Technical Animator to advance Unreal-based animation pipelines and character tooling. You will design and implement animation systems, ship AA+ titles, and collaborate with engineers to ensure performance and stability across next-generation experiences.

The role offers a 5-month freelance contract with remote work and flexible core hours (10am-4pm CET), enabling collaboration with global talent while driving cutting-edge animation workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical animation in a senior capacity.
• Shipped at least one AA+ title in a technical animation capacity.
• Expert-level Unreal Engine with Animation Blueprints, State Machines and Control Rigs.

Responsibilities

• Technical Implementation & Animation Systems (Unreal) including animation pipelines and runtime systems.
• Create and maintain animation systems in Unreal Engine with emphasis on Animation Blueprints and Control Rig.
• Develop character rigs and physics/cloth assets within Maya, and ensure performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to solve technical challenges and document best practices.
• Provide guidance to junior/mid-level technical animators and assist with scheduling tasks.
