Job summary

TripAdvisor is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Android) to join a fast-growing mobile team. Hybrid work model with optional office visits in Oxford or London, remote-first with periodic in-person gatherings. You will primarily develop Android systems using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and GraphQL, while touching backend microservices as needed.

The role emphasizes learning on the job, collaboration with product/design, and delivering high-quality, scalable software across a modular architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience with reactive programming in native mobile platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and sense of ownership.

Responsibilities

• Code Android applications and related components across the stack.
• Collaborate with Product and design to define feature specs and deliver high-quality results.
• Own design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of features from idea to production.
• Contribute to backend microservices when needed and touch code at multiple levels.
• Work with global engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
