Job summary

Admiral Insurance Plc is seeking an Senior Android Engineer to own significant features end to end, shaping the Android roadmap from discovery to delivery. You’ll build scalable mobile experiences, mentor peers and drive high-quality code using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose in a fast-paced consumer environment.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Design and Backend teams, adopt AI-assisted practices and contribute to robust architecture and release cadence while enjoying a flexible hybrid setup with

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Android engineer, with senior-level experience in fast-paced consumer-focused companies.
• A track record of delivering and scaling Android applications with a large user base.
• Strong proficiency in Android, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with a deep understanding of Android frameworks and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and delivery of complex Android features across data modelling, networking, caching, offline behaviour and sync.
• Build high quality mobile experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering and QA from discovery through to delivery, shaping the Android roadmap and the APIs behind it.
• Make technical decisions that balance performance, scalability, maintainability and customer experience.
• Mentor engineers, provide thorough code reviews and improve tooling, release cadence and developer experience.
• Use AI assisted and agentic engineering tools to improve delivery, helping the team adopt them confidently without lowering standards.
