The role of an experienced Analytics Manager will sit within the Analytics team and will work closely with the Head of Commercial Analytics, Head of Decision Sciences, onshore and offshore BI teams, 3rd party providers, and other sources.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

1. Lead deployment of specific analytics projects and initiatives – e.g., growth of customer service agreements, development of store segmentation, small and big box delivery forecasting, drivers of online conversion, omnichannel conversion optimisation, product attribute analytics, and range optimisation.
2. Stakeholder and Relationship Management

• Build relationships with business teams, understand their requirements, and drive collaborative working with colleagues in the data analytics community.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into a scope for data analytics solutions.
• Develop an approach and detailed plan for the delivery of solutions in collaboration with senior colleagues.
• Lead the delivery of analytical solutions, including hands-on technical work and leadership/support to junior team members (UK and offshore).
• Test and peer review work produced by team members.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing through presentations, internal forums, and best practice sharing.
• Recruit and develop analytical talent across the business.
• Strengthen relationships with leading institutions.

The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver a variety of data analytics projects from start to finish, ranging from small solutions to complex data science projects, requiring collaboration across teams.

You will need:

• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to break down complex problems and identify key drivers.
• Strategic thinking to understand business challenges and opportunities.
• Understanding of core analytical techniques, highly numerate and financially literate.
• Effective communication skills to distil insights for various audiences.
• Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Prioritisation skills for managing multiple requests.
• Understanding of managing external suppliers and offshore teams.
• Leadership qualities to develop and mentor junior team members.
• Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, pragmatic, and self-aware.
• Experience in the CPG or Retail sector.
