Job summary

PleoMessy is seeking a senior contributor to lead the Data Services & Governance function, owning the semantic layer and analytics standards across the company. You will drive AI-augmented development practices and establish canonical data definitions that analytics teams and AI tools rely on.

You will collaborate with the Data Engineering Manager and analytics engineers across the organization to foster a standards-driven, governance-focused data culture and enable scalable analytics

Qualifications

• Deep demonstrated expertise in dbt and modelling across a function.
• Deep BigQuery and SQL expertise, with performance and cost awareness.
• Experience owning a semantic layer and metric consistency at scale.
• AI-native development practices in data engineering contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own the semantic layer and canonical metric definitions used by analysts and AI tools.
• Set data modelling standards and ensure clean, layered dbt architecture.
• Build and run the Analytics Engineering community of practice.
• Lead AI-native development and evaluate AI tooling in governed data contexts.
• Lead AI-assisted migrations across the Analytics Warehouse and OD Platform.
• Design data models and metrics for AI services with minimal human intervention.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on data contracts and upstream schema ownership.
• Contribute to data and AI products for external customer analytics.
