Job summary

Zopa is seeking a hands-on Senior/Lead Analytics Engineer to raise the modelling maturity across domains. You will own and deliver complex modelling challenges, shape best practices for dbt and governance, and mentor teams while partnering with product and domain owners to ensure scalable data products.

You will drive the data mesh alignment, optimise data marts for performance, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning in a hybrid London setting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior or Lead Analytics Engineer.
• Strong expertise in SQL and building production-grade dbt models.
• Experience working in modern cloud data environments.

Responsibilities

• Evolve the technical direction for Analytics Engineering and partners with Head of AE.
• Develop scalable modelling patterns aligned to data mesh and domain ownership.
• Lead by example in applying data governance, testing, CI/CD, and cost optimisation.
• Design and build robust, production-grade dbt models for high-impact domains.
• Mentor Analytics Engineers and Analysts to raise standards and skills.
