Job summary

Cognify Search is working with a high-growth Fintech to hire a Senior / Lead Analytics Engineer to join the expanding data function. This end-to-end role sits in a collaborative analytics environment where you’ll translate business needs into scalable data solutions and data models.

You’ll own analytics projects from requirements gathering to delivery, design scalable models using dbt and BigQuery, work with incremental data, and partner with Data Engineering on ingestion.

Qualifications

• Senior/Lead Analytics Engineer with strong commercial experience.
• Excellent SQL, dbt and BigQuery.
• Experience with GCP.
• Understanding of modern data architecture / Medallion Architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Autonomous in distributed teams.
• Looker/LookML experience.
• Fintech or Financial Services experience.
• Mentoring or leading other Analytics Engineers.
• Fast-paced, high-growth environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Own analytics projects from requirements gathering through to delivery.
• Design and build scalable data models using dbt and BigQuery.
• Work with incremental data and modern data modelling approaches.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering around data ingestion and source systems.
• Build trusted datasets and reporting solutions.
• Contribute to data architecture, testing and documentation.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
