Finatal is currently exclusively with a rapidly expanding tech-driven manufacturing business, and they have recently had Private Equity investment from one of the leading mid-market funds. With this investment, the business is going through a digital transformation strategy and is now looking to drive a data-focused culture across the organisation. As the first data hire, you will work closely with the CFO and CTO to help navigate and develop the data roadmap in both the short term and long term. You will serve as the hands-on expert responsible for optimising data structures, performing cleansing from diverse sources to enable concise reporting in Tableau, and constructing as well as maintaining pipelines.

Role:

As the technical expert, you will be responsible for creating a transformation layer mapping raw data to data marts to support analysis.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with the executives, including the CFO and CTO as well as the PE Fund.
You will be responsible for building data pipelines for deep analysis, working cross-functionally to gather requirements also building reports in Tableau and enabling data-driven decision-making for optimised performance.
Utilising your modern stack experience, you will model data using dbt, ensuring it’s set up for scalability and reporting needs.
Advise and recommend different ways to improve data architecture and processes to improve reliability, data quality and consistency.

Requirements:

Strong experience working across a modern cloud environment, a GCP stack including BigQuery or Snowflake DWH, Fivetran and transformation in dbt.
Strong skills in building dashboards and using visualisation tools such as Tableau (beneficial), Power BI or Looker.
Experience in database design and architecture principles, e.g. dimensional modelling and strong SQL ability
Some understanding or interest in programming languages such as Python.
Exposure to working with CRM/ERP systems.
