Job summary

Alteryx is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to act as a trusted technical advisor, partnering with customers and account teams to solve analytics challenges with AI, automation, and cloud data platforms.

You will bridge business and technical requirements, lead technical discovery, deliver tailored product demonstrations, and support proof-of-value engagements across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments. Travel up to 40% is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of pre-sales, sales engineering, solution consulting, or related enterprise software experience.
• Experience across analytics, ETL/ELT, cloud data platforms, AI/ML workflows, automation, or enterprise data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives on qualified opportunities, focusing on new logo acquisition and analytics modernization.
• Lead technical discovery with stakeholders to understand objectives, architecture, data landscape, and success criteria.
• Design and deliver demos, workshops, and POVs/POCs illustrating Alteryx value across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem deployments.
• Assist customers in evaluating data preparation, automation, and AI‑driven analytics solutions.
• Address architecture, connectivity, governance, security, and deployment questions during engagements.
• Support proposals, RFP responses, and opportunity strategies for complex deals.
• Identify expansion opportunities within existing customers and drive broader platform adoption.
• Stay current on products, competitive offerings, and market trends in AI and cloud data platforms.
• Share best practices with the SE org and mentor junior teammates.
