Role Purpose

This is a key role in the company to help build a first-class data insights function that will foster a data-led culture across the business. This function will lead on analysis that enables business leaders to drive the company towards its ambitious growth targets. This role is central to data analysis and visualization within the Data Insights Team, supporting all areas of the business.

What you will be doing

1. Key Areas of Responsibility
2. Collaborate with the Data Architect and the wider business to provide analytical and data services to enhance business performance.
3. Promote understanding and knowledge of data throughout the organization to maximize its value.
4. Design and deliver data visualizations to communicate complex analysis and support decision-making in a fast-moving market.
5. Apply and develop expertise in relevant software, technologies, and data analysis techniques.
6. Champion a data-first approach across the company.
7. Work collaboratively to achieve team and company goals.
8. Maintain familiarity with the company’s ETL products and infrastructure.

What we are looking for

1. Essential Technical / Role Specific
2. 4+ years experience in data analysis and visualization.
3. Ability to design visualizations that communicate analysis effectively to non-data audiences.
4. Experience with BI tools such as Thoughtspot, Jaspersoft, Spotfire, Tableau, Cognos, Qlik, PowerBI, etc.
5. Experience with ETL and data warehousing is desirable.
6. Ability to interpret report requests and identify necessary modifications to data warehouses.
7. Ability to communicate modifications clearly.

Desirable

1. Experience with SQL.
2. Experience with Matillion’s Data Productivity Cloud, Snowflake, and Thoughtspot.
