Keen Software House is an independent, international game development studio based in Prague, Czech Republic. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be part of the Gameplay Team, responsible for the development of Space Engineers 2. You will work closely with our Engine Programmers and Designers to help bring the creative vision of our games to life.

While this position is based at our headquarters in Prague, we offer the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of professional programming experience in the video game industry
  • Proven expertise in C# and C++, with experience across various game engines
  • At least 5 years of experience developing on the Windows platform
  • Very good knowledge and experience with C# and .NET
  • Advanced English
  • Responsible, well organized, good time management
  • Friendly, curious, creative
  • Don´t be a C-player
Considered a plus:
  • Experience in designing and maintaining desktop applications
  • Knowledge of C++
  • Experience with back-end development / front-end development
  • Experience with DirectX or OpenGL
  • Experience with design patterns, unit testing, UI design
  • Experience with graphics programming, game networking architectures, low level optimization, etc.
  • Advanced math and physics knowledge
  • Interest in science and space research
  • Avid gamer
Responsibilities:
  • Developing Space Engineers 2 - implementing new game features or optimization, rendering techniques, physics simulations, etc.
  • Work with our in-house engine VRAGE3
