Job summary

Bedford Borough Council is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to lead analytical support for Families First Programme, Early Help and wider Children's Services. You will shape data driven decisions through performance information and intelligence.

Working with the Senior Business Partner, you will develop performance frameworks, deliver high‑quality insights for strategic planning, statutory reporting and continuous improvement, and communicate complex data clearly to colleagues.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data analysis, performance management, or business intelligence within a public sector environment.
• A strong understanding of Children's Services, Early Help, or related services such as Families First.
• Experience of leading or supervising analytical staff and managing competing priorities.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• You will be required to complete a basic criminal records check for unspent convictions. This is an in person interview.
