Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist
Location: Alderley Park, Cheshire
Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE – Higher Salary available for more experienced individuals)

The Opportunity

Join a fast-growing international pharmaceutical CDMO at a cutting-edge UK facility as a senior analytical chemist.

As an Analytical Chemist you will be supporting global pharma and biotech clients in drug substance development for small complex molecules.

You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team working on both early and late-stage API / Drug substance projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to and lead various non-GMP and GMP analytical projects
• Develop, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods (LC, GC)
• Support analytical instrumentation and release testing in a GMP environment
• Collaborate with process chemistry teams and contribute analytical expertise
• Ensure timely, high-quality data delivery across projects

Requirements

• 3+ years' industrial experience in analytical chemistry
• Proficiency in LC, GC, and complementary techniques (e.g. NMR, MS, IR, XRD)
• Strong scientific and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of GMP standards
• Experience supporting API and process development
• Familiarity with Empower 3, UNIFI, and LIMS
