Job summary

GKN Aerospace in the UK seeks a Senior Analysis Engineer to independently assess, check, or approve stress analyses for aircraft structures. You will handle static, fatigue, and damage-tolerance assessments and ensure compliance with customer and airworthiness requirements.

You will also develop methods, mitigate technical risks, and prepare documentation for design-to-cost and DFMA objectives, supporting Filton-based projects. UK Defence eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Holds technical qualifications or substantial experience to tackle engineering work packages.
• 8+ years of stress experience for composite and metallic structures.
• Experience in Aerospace or Aerostructure design preferred.
• Ability to hold approval check/signatory status when allocated.
• UK Defence project eligibility is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis using classical methods for composites and metals.
• Develop and validate compliance documentation for work packages.
• Prepare and review test specifications and sign off on designs.
