Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust in Macclesfield invites applications for a Consultant in Anaesthetics. This is a permanent post with 10 Programmed Activities and a demanding 1:62 on-call rota, offering a stable career in a modern ICU and theatre environment.

We seek leaders with FRCA and GMC registration, who can deliver high-quality patient care, participate in governance and audits, and contribute to service development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• FRCA and GMC registration with licence to practise.
• UK-trained with CCT within 6 months of interview.
• eligible for Specialist Register or CESR within 6 months of interview.
• Experience in governance, audit and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia in ~10 programmed activities (PAs)
• Participate in on-call rota (1:62) and theatre/ICU coverage
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits and service development

Education

FRCA

GMC registration/licence to practise

UK CCT or within 6 months of interview

Specialist Register or CESR pathway
