Job summary

Serco Defence in the UK is seeking an Aircraft Mechanical Senior Supervisor at RAF Syerston to lead maintenance on Viking and associated aircraft. The role oversees teams across multiple locations, ensuring high standards of safety and regulatory compliance while delivering efficient maintenance operations.

The candidate will manage certifying staff responsibilities, perform fault diagnosis, and travel as needed with a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a similar engineering background with MOD Phase 2 technical training or suitable civilian training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on Viking and other contract-related aircraft at RAF Syerston and UK locations.
• Lead and participate in aircraft activities, including ground movement and preparation for transportation.
• Lead, manage, supervise, and control assigned maintenance teams.
• Optimise output to meet business needs and drive Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
• Perform additional roles as required such as Aircraft Manager, Team Leader, Building Custodian, and Issue Centre Custodian.
