Job summary

Detail 2 Limited, based in Heston, is seeking a Senior Air Import Coordinator to manage a high-volume import operation. You will coordinate with overseas offices, handle customs entries, and ensure accurate documentation and customer communication throughout the import process.

Qualifications

• Experience in air import freight forwarding or logistics.
• Experience processing a range of customs entries.
• Strong understanding of air import procedures and documentation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple customers, shipments and customs clearances daily.
• Cost awareness including job costing and invoicing.
• Strong organisational skills and prioritisation.
• Professional handling of queries, issues and complaints.
• Knowledge of CargoWise and Sequoia advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review and action shipment pre-alerts.
• Coordinate with overseas origin offices and manage shipment information throughout the import process.
• Prepare and process different types of customs entries.
• Arrange transport and final deliveries in line with customer requirements.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, origin offices and internal departments.
• Liaise with customers by email and telephone, providing accurate shipment updates.
• Monitor shipments and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Complete job costing and invoicing accurately and promptly.
• Maintain accurate shipment and customer records across systems.
• Build relationships with origin offices and identify operational issues to minimise disruption.
