Job summary

JPMorganChase in Bournemouth seeks a Software Engineer III to help craft scalable, secure software with strong full-stack capabilities and cloud expertise. You’ll work in an agile AMDP environment, using AWS, Terraform, and AI-assisted development tools while mentoring peers.

You will contribute to design, build, and maintain state-of-the-art platforms, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across the stack in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Production-oriented software engineering in large-scale environments.
• Strong Full Stack background with frontend and backend expertise.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid experience with AWS and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical initiatives.
• Full SDLC experience including CI/CD, resiliency, and security practices.
• Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases and data handling.
• Experience in agile teams and leveraging AI-assisted development tools.
• Understand responsible AI use and secure coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions.
• Develop secure production code and provide guidance to juniors.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve bottlenecks across systems.
• Drive SDLC automation with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform IaC.
• Develop, review, and debug code across stack (front-end, back-end, cloud).
• Analyze large data sets to inform secure, stable development decisions.
• Champion agile methodologies, resiliency, and security practices.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools and validate outputs through reviews and testing.
• Apply secure AI usage practices and share learnings with the team.
