Job summary

bp in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and deploy scalable AI-powered applications. You will ship production-grade systems, design scalable architectures, and own end-to-end delivery from ideation to deployment.

You’ll work across AI tooling, GenAI frameworks, and cloud platforms, collaborating with data scientists and product managers to deliver real business value with speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming in Python or Java; backend and API design.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating ML models into production systems.
• Ability to ship complex systems with testing and observability.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and GenAI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade AI applications and services (CI/CD, testing, observability).
• Define and implement scalable platforms and tools (conversational bots, AI-powered search, unstructured data processing).
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end AI products.
