Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain advanced AI products within the Applied Innovation Engineering team in the CDAO Technology Group.

You will work with software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver trusted AI solutions that support business growth and long‑term projects. Qualifications

• Proven programming/scripting skills with Python in an AWS/Cloud environment.
• Experience using GPT, LLM, RAG, Gen AI and Prompt Engineering.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern languages and database querying.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with engineers, data scientists, and product owners to deliver products to production.
• Builds and maintains data pipelines for analytics, model evaluation, and training (versioning, compliance, validation).
• Executes creative software solutions, debug and troubleshoot to go beyond routine approaches.
• Provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices.
• Creates secure, high‑quality production code and reviews code written by others.
