Vodafone VOIS is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to build, test and operate production-grade software using AI-native engineering practices. You will translate designs into secure, reliable software and work in a cross-functional team to deliver customer-focused digital capabilities.

The role emphasizes responsible use of AI coding agents, automated tooling and modern delivery practices, with ownership across services and components throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering production-grade software.
• Strong skills in Java, with Spring Boot and React.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Able to review AI-generated and human-written code for quality and security.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and maintain APIs, services, integrations and platform capabilities.
• Translate requirements into high-quality software implementations.
• Utilize AI coding agents while validating outputs and maintaining quality.
• Review code, tests and artefacts for correctness and alignment to requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and production verification processes.
• Support incident investigation and operational improvements.
