Job summary

Arcus Search in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Security Engineer – AI to lead security strategy for AI systems across development, deployment and governance. This full-time, on-site role targets petabyte-scale ML platforms and aims to embed security into every stage of the AI lifecycle.

You’ll define controls, lead threat modelling, and partner with engineering, research and risk teams to safeguard model integrity and data at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of security engineering or software engineering experience
• Strong AI/ML security expertise (adversarial threats, model integrity)
• Experience with large-scale AI labs or FAANG environments
• Understanding of modern ML architectures and workflows

Responsibilities

• Define and drive AI security strategy across model development and deployment
• Identify and mitigate AI-specific risks (e.g. model integrity, prompt injection, misuse)
• Establish secure design principles and guardrails for AI-enabled systems
• Design identity, access, logging, and integrity controls for AI platforms
• Lead threat modelling, design reviews, and key security initiatives
• Influence firm-wide AI governance and risk strategy
