Job summary

PA Consulting in the United Kingdom is seeking a Security Engineer focused on AI security to own tool selection and deployment, integrating with SIEM/SOAR/EDR, and driving value through effective protection, detection and response. You will work within Cyber Security and Compliance, aligning with governance frameworks and demonstrating measurable outcomes for stakeholders.

The role operates in a hybrid model with two days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience as a security engineer in cloud security, security architecture or SOC engineering.
• Genuine ML/LLM literacy and understanding of RAG pipelines and agents.
• Ability to explain AI risk and capability to non-specialist decision-makers without overselling or scaremongering.

Responsibilities

• Own AI security tool selection and deployment, integrating with SIEM, SOAR, EDR and identity tooling.
• Map AI threat landscape and reference frameworks (e.g., OWASP Top 10 for LLM apps, MITRE ATLAS).
• Demonstrate AI in protection, detection and response with measurable outcomes.
• Lead adversarial testing and red-teaming for AI systems; oversee third-party tests if needed.
• Align technical controls with governance and standards (NCSC, UK AI Code, EU AI Act).
