Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer focused on AI Security to lead the security strategy for AI systems across the company. This high-impact, IC role requires deep expertise in AI/ML security, threat modeling, and cross-functional leadership to raise the bar on secure AI adoption.

You will guide guardrails for LLMs, build security tooling, and shape Ripple's external posture on AI security while collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Security Engineering
• Hands-on AI/ML security experience
• Experience securing agentic AI systems
• Exposure to regulated environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Define and drive AI Security strategy and roadmap across Ripple's AI lifecycle
• Design and implement security controls for AI systems including sandboxing and runtime monitoring
• Lead security reviews and risk assessments for AI integrations before production
• Develop and scale Shadow AI detection and enforce AI acceptable use policy
• Shape external AI security posture through industry engagement and publication
