Role: Senior AI Security Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Day rate: £600 - £650 Inside IR35
About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer - AI to play a critical role in designing and embedding security controls across AI-driven and agentic systems. You will ensure secure-by-design principles are applied throughout the software development lifecycle while helping shape and deliver our reimagined Information Security vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop security solutions for AI-driven and agentic systems.
- Conduct both traditional and AI-specific threat modelling and risk assessments.
- Support the embedding of security controls throughout the end-to-end agentic SDLC, including design, testing, release and governance.
- Develop reusable security patterns, frameworks and standards for engineering teams.
- Support secure go-to-market processes for new products, services and capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation and operational handover of security solutions.
- Validate security hypotheses through the hands-on development and testing of Proofs of Concept (POCs) and pilot solutions.
- Support the scoping, build and industrialisation of AI-enabled Information Security initiatives across the organisation.
- Work closely with the Principal InfoSec AI Architect and wider Information Security Architecture team to ensure solutions align with strategic objectives and architectural standards.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone with:
- At least 7 years' experience within Information Security, ideally with a hands-on background in Application Security or Infrastructure Security.
- Strong understanding of core security principles, controls and architectures.
Proven Experience In
- Threat modelling
- Secure system design
- Embedding security within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Exposure to AI and agentic systems, either through practical implementation or conceptual design, including:
- Security and governance for AI solutions, including identity, observability and risk management.
- Agentic architectures and patterns such as MCP, RAG, Tools, Memory and Harnesses.
- Experience working within complex, enterprise-scale environments.
- The ability to translate security requirements into practical, engineering-aligned solutions.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, testing and deploying security solutions that automate complex processes.
