Job summary

CommonAI CIC is seeking a capable software engineer to join a team building shared AI compute infrastructure. You will design, implement and ship customer-facing multi-cloud products and develop coding agents across the full lifecycle, from investigation to ops.

You will own the correctness and security of your code, work across Linux/cloud environments, and collaborate directly with founders, engineers and customers to turn ideas into production systems.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals: demonstrated ability to build and ship real software.
• AI-native workflow: actively use agents, justify savings and verify output.
• Sharp debugging judgement: read unfamiliar code, isolate root causes, validate fixes.
• Comfortable in Linux with deployment/ops exposure (containers, CI/CD, cloud, IaC, observability).
• Clear communication and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship customer-facing multi-cloud AI compute products.
• Develop coding agents across full lifecycle: investigation, design, implementation, testing, review, documentation and ops.
• Take ownership of correctness and security of your code, agent-generated or not.
• Build and operate cloud-native systems across providers; diagnose Linux, network, container and cloud issues.
• Collaborate with founders, engineers and customers to turn ideas into production systems.
• Evaluate new AI tools and adopt what matters in the industry.
• Shape architecture, lead technical decisions and improve engineering practices across the team.
