Wellcome Sanger Institute is seeking a Principal Staff Scientist (computational) to lead AI/ML strategy across the Human Genetics Programme. You will provide analytical leadership, work with statisticians, computational scientists and analysts, and contribute hands‑on to data analysis.

This senior appointment will chair the Programme Working Group, set standards for models and workflows, and represent the Programme within Sanger and externally.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in statistical genetics, computational biology, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Significant track record in AI/ML methods for disease prediction from high‑dimensional data.
• Experience analyzing human genetic and genomic data at scale.
