Job summary

Adria Solutions is seeking a Senior AI & Integration Engineer to turn its AI and automation ambitions into production-ready solutions. This hands-on senior role combines strong C# / .NET with Azure, APIs and integration engineering, using Copilot Studio and Power Platform where applicable.

As the first dedicated AI engineering hire, you will report to the IT Director and have autonomy to shape technology standards, patterns and engineering approaches for a new capability.

Qualifications

• Strong C# and modern .NET development experience.
• Azure development experience including Azure Functions.
• REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger and webhooks.
• Integration patterns: authentication, pagination, rate limits and retries.
• Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 and secure secrets management.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and production support.

Responsibilities

• Build AI agents that retrieve information and automate actions with validation.
• Develop APIs, backend services and integration components in C#/.NET and Azure.
• Connect business apps via REST APIs, webhooks and connectors.
• Create automation using Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Platform.
• Balance traditional coding with low-code tools per requirement.
• Implement secure authentication using Entra ID and OAuth 2.0.

Senior AI & Integration Engineer – C# / .NET / Azure

£70,000–£75,000 | Permanent, full-time

Hybrid: four days from home, one day in the office

An established business is looking for a Senior AI & Integration Engineer to help turn its AI and automation ambitions into practical, production-ready solutions.

As its first dedicated AI engineering hire, you will report directly to the IT Director and have the autonomy to shape the technology, standards and engineering patterns behind a new capability. This is a hands‑on senior position with technical ownership and mentoring opportunities.

You will combine strong C# and .NET development with Azure, APIs and integration engineering, using Copilot Studio and Power Platform where they offer the right solution.

The opportunity

You will design and deliver secure AI agents, intelligent automation and integrations across a Microsoft‑centred technology estate. Projects will connect CRM, finance, payroll, document management and bespoke applications, helping teams access information, process documents and automate business workflows.

You will own solutions throughout their lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through development, testing, deployment and ongoing improvement.

What you’ll be doing

• Building AI agents that retrieve information, process documents and take controlled actions, with appropriate validation and human approval.
• Developing APIs, backend services and integration components using C#, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core and Azure Functions.
• Connecting business applications through REST APIs, webhooks and custom connectors.
• Creating maintainable automation using Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Platform.
• Selecting the right approach for each requirement, balancing conventional software development with low‑code tools.
• Implementing secure authentication and access using Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 and managed identities.
• Establishing reliable testing, monitoring, logging and deployment practices.
• Helping define technical standards and mentoring colleagues building internal automations.

What we’re looking for

You will bring strong software engineering foundations and experience delivering reliable applications and integrations into production.

Your background should include

• Strong C# and modern .NET development, including ASP.NET Core Web APIs and backend services.
• Azure development, including Azure Functions.
• REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger and webhooks.
• Integration patterns covering authentication, pagination, rate limits, retries and exception handling.
• Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, application permissions and secure secrets management.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring and production support.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to own technical decisions.

Experience that would be useful

Hands‑on experience with Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Fx or Dataverse would be particularly valuable. Strong .NET and Azure engineers with the aptitude and enthusiasm to develop these skills are also encouraged to apply, with support available.

Other useful experience includes:

• Microsoft Graph, Teams and SharePoint integrations.
• Azure AI services, document processing and retrieval‑based solutions.
• Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus and Key Vault.
• TypeScript, JavaScript or Python.
• Docker, infrastructure as code or Model Context Protocol.
