Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Senior AI & Automation Engineer in the UK to lead infrastructure automation within a hybrid-cloud setup. You will design scalable automation, drive Terraform-based IaC and help shape AI-driven tooling across cloud environments.

You will mentor engineers, improve CI/CD pipelines, and partner with Cloud Operations to deliver secure, efficient automation while adopting cutting-edge AI techniques.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Automation.
Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
Experience scripting and developing automation using Python, PowerShell or Bash.
Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Experience automating cloud infrastructure provisioning, deployments or migrations.
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, LLMs or AI automation technologies.
Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, and secrets management.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement technical solutions independently.
Experience mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices.

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home

An established international software organisation is looking for a Senior AI & Automation Engineer to join its growing Cloud Operations function, helping to drive infrastructure automation, cloud transformation and the adoption of AI-powered technologies.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced DevOps, Platform or Cloud Automation Engineer who enjoys remaining hands-on while influencing technical direction, introducing new technologies and improving engineering practices.
