Job summary

Searchability in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior AI and Automation Engineer to join its Cloud Operations team. The role blends hands-on engineering with shaping automation strategy, focusing on Terraform, Azure, IaC and AI-driven automation to drive scalable infrastructure.

You will design and deliver automation across a complex cloud environment, mentor engineers, and work in a hybrid setup with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or Infrastructure Automation.
• Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience scripting and developing automation using Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience automating cloud infrastructure provisioning, deployments or migrations.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, LLMs or AI automation technologies.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, and secrets management.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement technical solutions independently.
• Experience mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices.

An established international software organisation is looking for a Senior AI andamp; Automation Engineer to join its growing Cloud Operations function, helping to drive infrastructure automation, cloud transformation and the adoption of AI-powered technologies.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced DevOps, Platform or Cloud Automation Engineer who enjoys remaining hands-on while influencing technical direction, introducing new technologies and improving engineering practices.
